Official Sources and Result Verification
LotterySombad is designed to make source verification visible. A result summary is more useful when a visitor can identify where the information came from, open the supporting PDF, and understand which publication should prevail if two sources disagree.
Primary verification principle
The issuing state lottery authority’s official publication is the final reference for an official result. An independent result website can improve access and readability, but it does not replace the authority that issued the draw or result notification.
Nagaland State Lotteries
For relevant Nagaland draws, visitors can consult the Nagaland State Lotteries website and its published result gazettes. Official websites can change their structure over time, so LotterySombad may link to a relevant official page rather than copying every document.
Sambad API
Sambad.com publishes an API that provides recent result files, prize information, and live-draw video information for supported draw times. Its documentation states that API access requires an access token and that result requests use the draw date and one of the 1 PM, 6 PM, or 8 PM time values. The API describes itself as an independent information service and states that official publications prevail in a discrepancy.
Required Sambad attribution
Where LotterySombad uses Sambad API data, the provider requires a visible, indexable dofollow link. The website therefore includes the following attribution link: Lottery Sambad. This attribution should not be hidden or changed to nofollow while the API is being used under those terms.
Why we do not scrape yearly databases
Source licensing matters. Sambad’s published license restricts copying or scraping its monthly or yearly database without permission. LotterySombad therefore uses the authorized API for supported recent data and stores records received through that integration. Older records can be retained when they are already stored with a legitimate source or manually added with appropriate verification.
PDF verification
A PDF can contain more information than a result card. Before relying on a first-prize summary, check the date, draw time, series, number, prize categories, and any instructions printed on the complete result document. If a PDF shown on LotterySombad appears mismatched, report the affected page through Contact Us.
Source conflicts
If two sources appear to disagree, LotterySombad should not silently select whichever result is more convenient. The record should be reviewed against the official publication, and a correction should be made where necessary. A temporary checking state is preferable to publishing a value that cannot be supported.
Source availability
External websites and files can move, change, or become unavailable. A broken source link does not automatically make a stored record false, but it reduces the ability to verify it. We may update source URLs or replace broken references when a reliable replacement is available.
Independent status
LotterySombad is not the Government of Nagaland, Government of Sikkim, Sambad.com, or any lottery operator. Linking to a source does not imply ownership, partnership, or endorsement beyond any specific API or licensing arrangement that has actually been approved.

How an API record is stored
When the Sambad API integration is enabled, LotterySombad requests the prize endpoint for the selected draw date and time and separately requests the result endpoint in PDF format. The first-prize value and full prize data are stored in a structured result record, while the PDF URL is stored as the supporting document. The API token itself remains server-side and is not included in public links.
Why the first prize and PDF are both important
The structured first-prize value lets the homepage answer a visitor’s most common question quickly. The PDF provides context and the complete result. Keeping both pieces connected reduces the chance that a visitor will mistake a short summary for the entire official notification.
Official versus established websites
A website can rank highly in search results and still be an independent publisher. Search ranking does not make a website a government authority. LotterySombad therefore distinguishes official state lottery publications from established independent result portals. Third-party portals can be useful for cross-checking, but an official authority should be preferred when a definitive official record is available.
Live draw video sources
The Sambad API can also return a public YouTube embed or watch URL for supported live draws. LotterySombad can display that public link when available. The video is not hosted by LotterySombad, and availability depends on the provider and the underlying video platform.
Keeping attribution visible
Attribution is part of source transparency and, for API users, can also be a licensing condition. The Lottery Sambad link appears in the footer across the site and in source sections. The theme deliberately does not add a nofollow attribute to that provider link. Site owners who replace the theme should preserve any attribution required by an active API license.
How visitors can verify independently
A visitor should first check the date and draw time, then open the full PDF, then compare the result with the relevant official authority if the information is important. If the records differ, do not assume the highlighted website value is correct. Report the discrepancy so it can be reviewed.
Corrections based on official material
If an official authority later replaces or corrects a publication, LotterySombad may update the stored record to reflect the corrected source. The purpose of the archive is not to freeze a known error permanently. Where a correction changes a material number, date, or document, the website should prioritize the corrected official information and keep the source reference clear.
Source labels on LotterySombad
Where practical, result pages should identify whether a link is an API source, an official authority, a PDF host, or another independent reference. Clear labeling helps visitors understand the difference between a government publication and a high-ranking independent website.
This source policy is intended to make verification practical for ordinary visitors as well as transparent for data providers and rights holders.
